As the lead designer for the pop-up phase of MKTplace, I designed and coordinated the construction of the temporary installations such as the kiosks, stage, and various furniture pieces.

With a concept similar to Wynwood Yard, MKTplace is set in historic Coconut Grove. It provides inexpensive incubator space for entrepreneurs of the neighborhood to jump start their business and test out their ideas with the public. The concept will also provide space for established vendors to sell their culinary creations; their rent being at a higher premium, it offsets the rent charged to the local chefs and provides for a deeply varied market experience.

MKTplace will be built in two phases, the first one is built in small increments to incorporate the market into the neighborhood gradually and to allow the vendors to accomodate themselves. After phase 1, custom containers will be installed to provide a more permanent installation. This will allow the market to be open for longer periods to be more efficient.
